Muddy Shoes
The band was founded in 1996 by Jenő Fekete, guitarist and vocalist of the Palermo Boogie Gang and Szabolcs Nagy, who was already well known in the blues circles at that time. The duo was joined by István Mezőfi ‘Fifi’ on drums, also from PBG and Csaba Pengő on double bass. The first album ‘The Real Shuffling Hungarians’ was also made this year. Muddy Shoes has given many concerts both at home and abroad, and has visited many countries in Europe. The band also accompanies blues greats such as Louisiana Red and Grammy Award-winning Sugar Blue. The second album was released in 2004 under the title ‘Cool’. From the acoustic world of the early twentieth century, to the big-city blues, to the more modern-sounding, own compositions. The formation has been playing in an unchanged line-up since its inception.
